Unemployment numbers suck, AP analysts shocked, shocked by this totally surprising news.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The employment picture is looking bleaker as applications for jobless benefits rose last week to the highest level in almost six months.
It's a sign that hiring is weak and employers are still cutting their staffs.
First-time claims for jobless benefits edged up by 2,000 to a seasonally adjusted 484,000, the Labor Department said Thursday. Analysts had expected a drop. That's the highest total since February.

The new guy at the whitehouse is an academic theoretician, "ethicist" and Communist jackass good ol boy from Harvard. He thinks withholding treatment to ill patients so they die is a benefit to the socialist collective. He is now in charge of Medicare and Medicaid, with their newly de-funded budgets. Dr. Deathpanel from Harvard does not need much funding to do what he's been advocating. I'm sure there will be plenty of money for Harvard educated ethicists and bureaucrats, but Gramma with the bad hip is in for a rude awakening. Did I mention that he's a professor from Haahvard?
ObamaCare's main way to save money is through the rationing of services. This was always a feature, not a bug. Obama, the press and democrats have lied consistently on this matter, and slandered all who dare to call them on their bald faced dishonesty.

650,000 people left the workforce in June, which is government, speak for their benefits ran out and we'll no longer count them in our statistics. The economy lost 125,000 jobs in June. Presto chango! Unemployment down a whopping 0.2% to 9.5%.
Obama says things are great because ya know, it could be like 15% or something, so shut up and be happy. Americans just have a crisis of confidence.

I predicted in the summer of '08 that the winner of the next election between an America hating academic Marxist theoretician with no experience running ANYTHING, and a conservative hating RINO douchebag, that the winner would effectively destroy their party for a generation. I can only imagine what McShitsandwich would have done, and how demoralized the conservative movement would be today. But there's no way to know for sure the "what if's" of a McCain presidency. I feel comfortable in knowing that it wouldn't have been pretty.
Obama is showing the American people what happens when you put democrats in total control: A complete disaster! Obama is polling in the mid 40's right now. Barry is a likable guy, that and the sycophantic press are the only things saving him from congressional type polling numbers. The deeply unpopular healthcare socialization project has the middle and the right upset. The oil spill incompetence has pretty much everybody upset. Cap and tax with it's hoped for $7.00 gas, and amnesty for criminal border jumpers will continue to drive down America's view of Obama. By the time he's done after 4 years, we won't elect another democrat to the presidency for 20 years or until people's memory get foggy and that happy happy hopey change horseshit starts to sound good again.

Unemployment remains high.
The reason it's ONLY a hair under 10% is because they only count people collecting benefits.
Well the benefits are starting to run out. This will allow the administration to pretend that things are improving, even though they admit that the jobs are not coming back. At least while this band of merry Marxists run the show.
