Ever notice how the progressives, leftists, Democrats, whatever you want to call them, they're all the same, have their own language? Their language is based on a smattering of excuses, minimalizations and explanations.
Take lie for example... as in purposely telling a falsehood. In their language its not a lie at all (unless its somebody they disagree with), it's "misspeaking" or "misspoke." What is it with the left and their dumbass made up words? A lie is a lie, it isn't "misspeaking." Can we stop with the BS already?
Health Reform? No way. It's socialized medicine. Economic Recovery Act? HA! It's just social spending, period. Immigration Reform? No, that's amnesty. Green Jobs, Green Economy, etc... Nope! It's welfare. By that I mean it's all government subsidies or mandates with regards to the "green" stuff. Climate Bill? Oh please! It's a massive energy tax.
Racist is any right of center person that is white. Tea Bagger, Astroturf and the like is anyone concerned with the constitution. A "Right" is an entitlement, and an Entitlement is a "Right." Partisan is any opposition to their authority. Bipartisan is only when the Right caves to the Left. Obstructionist is anyone from the Right that is successful in stalling or killing Leftist legislation, when the Left does it to the Right, it's called Heroic, Principled, and similar descriptives.
If anyone has any more, feel free to post them in the comments. This is what I came up with spur of the moment.

Admiral - in the real world, someone who has attained the highest rank in the Navy. A patriot.
In Strib land, it's someone who calls themself an Ametican but who is on record suggesting the current POTUS be killed.
written by Fred , April 17, 2010
That's a pretty serious charge Don and I hope you can back it up. Oh wait, were you referring to the Admiral posting a pic of a lynched Obama on his blog?? I guess that would count. As for the rest of the poo-throwers at the Anti-strib, I don't recall anybody suggesting that President Obama be killed.
written by Jim W , April 17, 2010
Hmmmm....where have I heard that argument against the admiral before....
written by Don Roscoe , April 17, 2010
I don't ever remember a liberal wishing Bush dead, at least not publicly.
And it's more than coincidence that most of the credible threats against public officials lately have been identified as being conservative including the Christian Militia willing to kill police officers.
We get you don't like Obama and I'm not insinuating that any of you except Admiral have called for his assasination. But the fact you defend him and allow him to post here does bring into question your judgement.
written by Jim W , April 17, 2010
Wrong. There was a film about the assassination of Pres. bush that was released. Do you honestly think that ANYONE would allow that to happen today? Not a fucking chance. Or what about that hunting incident with VP CHeney? I don't know about you, but I heard liberals "joke" about wishing Pres. Bush had been out there hunting with him and that HE'D have been on the receiving end of the errant shot. Or how about Family Guy? The episode when Stewie takes a machine gun and opens fire on Pres. Bush's photo, disintegrating it with bullets? That definitely leaves nothing to the imagination. These are just mere examples, but I'm quite sure if you tried real hard Don, you could find hard evidence on this here Internet thingy.
You've made this lame argument before against Admiral. Enough already. WE get that you don't like Admiral. But I am not going to allow you to piss all over yet another thread with this shit. IT's played out. Either you go to his blog and flame or you leave it alone. Because rest assured, now that this is MY blog, NO ONE will be wishing death (or insinuating it) against ANY President. Period. Nor will you carry on your little pissing match here. You take it over there or you leave it the fuck alone. I hope I made myself clear, because I won't say it again.
written by Kermit , April 17, 2010
I don't ever remember a liberal wishing Bush dead, at least not publicly.
Ricky Lee Jones (has been singer, liberal douchebag) "I'm not saying George Bush should be assassinated, but it wouldn't be a bad thing..."
written by Don Roscoe , April 17, 2010
Obviously, I was referring to liberals who post here, not animated shows and Rock stars.
And since this is your blog now and you're responsible for it's content, maybe it's time to pay more attention to it's owners. If I recall, Admiral also posted some threatening comments here and it may have been brought to the attention of the guys who protect Potus. It's probably not enough for them to pay him a visit but they don't like those threats or the venues on which they are posted. The first amendment doesn't protect you here.
written by Jim W , April 17, 2010
nor does it protect you. If you don't like it here, don't CONTINUALLY come back. You blog here at my pleasure. I make no bones about where I stand. I took this blog over in March, as you are well aware. I pay closer attention than you could possibly know. NO ONE will be posting anything I do not approve of, that includes you. This is a right leaning blog, you aren't going to find fluff about this President. You are going to find people disagreeing with him and his socialist position. Now, let's move on. I am not going to have an ongoing conversation about this crap. If you want to sic the secret service on me or anyone else, then do it. Otherwise shut up and move on. I don't have time for chickenhawks.
And no, it wasn't obvious you were stating that Don. If you were, you should have made it abundantly clear that you were referring to liberals that posted on this blog. After all, you then immediately shifted into "trash a conservative" mode, ones beyond this blog.
written by Don Roscoe , April 17, 2010
So it's a right leaning blog that condones essentially treasonous conduct.
Just needed clarification and you provided it.
written by Kermit , April 17, 2010
What a pile of crap. But then we've already observed it for over a year now. When Republicans are in charge dissent is patriotic, when Democrats are in charge dissent is "treasonous".
You certainly did provide clarification. And an illustration of rank hypocracy.
written by Don Roscoe , April 17, 2010
Calling for the death of a sitting Potus isn't dissent. It's treason and a felony.
written by Jim W , April 17, 2010
Like I said, Don, do somehting about it. Prove it to the authorities that this blog has condoned it. Talk is cheap. Be a man.
This is the end of it. If I see anymore of it, I remove it and then I remove you from the blog.
written by Jim W , April 17, 2010
Now, does anyone have anything else that is actually on topic?
written by Kermit , April 17, 2010
Since the topic was "Language has two meanings in America", I think
When Republicans are in charge dissent is patriotic, when Democrats are in charge dissent is "treasonous" sums it up pretty well.
written by tim-The Dyslexic Blogger , April 18, 2010
Why do we get read of one pain and another automatically shows up do they have an assignment board or some other device to let the next in line know that the current one was deleted
written by Kermit , April 18, 2010
Tim, unlike liberals we actually encourage dissent and debate. But it needs to be honest debate, not this "someone, somewhere threatened the President" crap. We have more than enough points of substance to argue. I'm waiting for one of these guys to come in here and actually attempt to address one of them.
I won't hold my breath.
written by Don Roscoe , April 18, 2010
It wasn't someone somewhere-specific person was named and confirmed by another.
You guys keep telling liberals to be nice here but tolerate conservatives calling them a dick or worse and then threatening to block them if they don't comply with some twisted code of conduct.
The reason most liberals don't post here for long is the lack of dialogue. Or you decide you don't like what they're saying and block them.
New ownership certainly hasn't changed anything
written by Kermit , April 18, 2010
specific person was named and confirmed by another
From some other blog. The reason you were called a dick is because you are still being one.
The reason most liberals don't post here for long is not a lack of dialog, it's a lack of cogent argument, which you continue to display, Don.
In six comments you never once addressed the point of the post, preferring to sling mud and false accusations.
And you wonder why Sequel called you a dick.
written by Sequel , April 18, 2010
I said you are a dick because you toss around the word "treason".
You seem incapable of arguing the topic, preferring to offend.
written by Jim W , April 18, 2010
My, this is constructive.
Stop calling Don a dick. And Don, you will actually contribute something here and you'll stop with this crap now. Make a point that doesn't involve dragging up crap from another blog. I hope we all understand this.
written by Odin , April 18, 2010
I'll play.
What liberals call -
- tax increases, conservatives call "revenue enhancements."
- torture, conservatives call "enhanced interrogation techniques."
- bloodless zygotes, conservatives call "babies."
- the success of the Truman Doctrine, conservatives call "Reagan defeated communism."
- healthcare reform, conservatives call "armageddon."
- weakening of the Clean Air Act, conservatives call the "Clear Skies Initiative."
- Republican whinefests, conservatives call "Tea Parties."
- ignorant racist crackers, conservatives call "our base."
- hypocritical censoring, conservatives call "moderating a rightwing blog."
written by Kermit , April 18, 2010
Well that certainly was moronic. Completely unsubstaniated and moronic. Good job, Onan. You have perpetuated your stereotype.
written by Nobody , April 18, 2010
Odie, Odie, Odie. That would need a ladder to get to moronic.
written by Kermit , April 18, 2010
You forgot your parenthesis. They make everything so much more "valid".
written by Jim W , April 18, 2010
He was on point, at least. He took Admiral's recommendation and laid out his own examples. I don't see how labeling his contribution as moronic helps.
written by Kermit , April 18, 2010
Because there waws no substance. It was talking points. How about an example to back up the assertion?
bloodless zygotes, conservatives call "babies." Last time I took basic anatomy an embryo had a blood from it's mother running through it.
Republican whinefests, conservatives call "Tea Parties." Straight out of a Keith Olbermann rant.
ignorant racist crackers, conservatives call "our base."
Simple, crass bigotry.
If this isn't moronic, what is?
written by Jim W , April 18, 2010
Then refute it, Kermit. Or ask him to back it up. Sure, most of it reeks of Olberman, maybe that's all he has. But I suspect it isn't...
written by Kermit , April 18, 2010
How do you refute it? When did you stop beating your wife?
hypocritical censoring, conservatives call "moderating a rightwing blog."
Are you a hypocrite censoring your blog?
healthcare reform, conservatives call "armageddon."
Last thing I read (and wrote) on the subject was that the personal mandate was unconstitutional. Has that been refuted?
He was "on point" with zero substance. I can't let that pass.
written by tim-The Dyslexic Blogger , April 18, 2010
I thought he was gone or was it a time out?
Oh and by the way Don showing a picture is not threatening to the extent of having the secret service to launch an investigation. Sending a email or a letter to some one or even calling on the phone and conveying a threat like the fool that called the speaker's home and made an actual threat. That is what got him arrested.
There was a whole lot more pictures of President Bush in several forms of being killed to including targets superimposed over his face, and a movie about assassinating him not just some past or future president. Where was your big concern then huum.
Also be very careful when throwing around charges of treason.
Treason
a violation of the allegiance owed by somebody to his or her own country, e.g. by aiding an enemy.
betrayal or disloyalty
me thinks you do not know what you speak of.
written by tim-The Dyslexic Blogger , April 18, 2010
"hypocritical censoring, conservatives call "moderating a right wing blog"
Odin
how may left wing blogs don't even allow an alternate opinion?
Also have you or have you not been told to stay on the topic over and over again?
but here you are still being allowed to comment
IF you don't like the rules go some where that you like the rules.
written by Odin , April 19, 2010
Last time I took basic anatomy an embryo had a blood from it's mother running through it.
No.This seems to be another subject you know too little of to have a valid opinion. Do you pass any of these classes?
Completely unsubstaniated and moronic.
Of course, that's why I called it the Moronic Generalization Game. It's what demagogues like Limbaugh and Bernie Goldberg are known for - taking a statement by one person and generalizing it to include the group that person ostensibly belongs to. "This is what liberals do," Limbaugh often says, and a lot of you conservatives lap it up as though it was substantive and not moronic. Jon Stewart offers some FOX examples at the end of this clip -
http://rawstory.com/rs/2010/04...ourselves/
Back to the game. What liberals call -
- the enabling and cover-up of child rape and molestation by the Catholic Church, conservatives call "political disputes."
- the MSM reporting of that enabling and cover-up, conservatives call "assaults on the Church."
written by Odin , April 19, 2010
Odin
how may left wing blogs don't even allow an alternate opinion?
Other than the HuffPo censoring anti-Alec Baldwin comments, I'm not aware of any.
{b]Also have you or have you not been told to stay on the topic over and over again?
but here you are still being allowed to comment{/b]
My comments almost always pertain to topic. I can't help it if readers are not as smart as I think that I am (or pretend to be) to understand the relevance.
